Frequently asked questions
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes. On the no-commitment plan you can cancel at any time. With a 12 or 24-month commitment, the renewal can be cancelled at any time and the current period remains due — that is what makes the lower rate possible.
What if I change my mind after pre-ordering?
Nothing is charged today. The pre-order locks in your price; we contact you by email when the service opens to finalise. You can cancel it from your client area until then, free of charge.
How do I get my data back if I leave?
Your files are yours and remain exportable at any time, in standard formats, with no proprietary tool. We do not lock anyone in: that is the whole point of Ryvie.
Where is my data hosted?
On a dedicated server located in France (OVH Gravelines datacenter), subject to the GDPR and out of reach of extraterritorial laws. More countries will follow.
Can I change plan later?
Yes, you can move to a bigger plan in one click, with no reinstall and no downtime. You can also add storage at any time.
How is it different from Ryvie Home and RyvieOS?
Ryvie Cloud is hosted and maintained by us with nothing to plug in: it is a monthly subscription. Ryvie Home is a device you buy once and plug in at home. RyvieOS is the software, free, to install on your own server. All three offer the same features.
